BC Indigenous Athletic Development Camp

The Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation Council (I∙SPARC) is pleased to present this provincial athlete development camp in partnership with Tk’emlúps te Secwepemc, BC Athletics and with the support of the Province of BC. This event is being held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at Tournament Capital Centre in Kamloops, BC.

Please note this is NOT a Team BC selection event for the Halifax2020 North American Indigenous Games, however, this event does provide opportunity for athletes to better prepare for the Team BC selection processes for NAIG 2020.

This Provincial camp is open to all Indigenous youth whether they are interested in Team BC or not. This camp is NOT Team BC selection camp, however, this camp provides a valuable opportunity for male and female athletic athletes interested in NAIG to meet our Team BC NAIG coaching staff and develop their athletic skills in preparation for the selection processes. Please note that you are not required to attend the camp in ordered to be considered to represent Team BC at NAIG 2020 – it is recommended, but not mandatory. Registration is open to eligible participants – male and female Indigenous youth, ages 11 through 18.  No pre-qualification required.

The coach for our camp is Dylan Armstrong (Olympic medalist, Pan American Games champion and Commonwealth Games Champion) and Team BC Coaching Staff, Jack Miller.
