The Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity & Recreation Council – Fraser Region – is pleased to partner with the Golden Ears Métis Society for the Winter Wellness Day at Mount Seymour!

Join GEMS for a day of Winter Wellness on beautiful Mount Seymour! We will have snowshoeing, tobogganing, a traditional Métis lunch, and a seasonal medicine and sport display! This event is open to all Children, Youth, Adults, and Elders who identify as Métis or are connected to the Indigenous community.

Agenda:

10AM-10:30AM: Please arrive at the “Yurt Building” at Mount Seymour as there will be our home base for the day. You will sign in and drop off your belongings.

10:30AM-10:45AM: Opening Circle

10:45AM-1PM: Snowshoeing Tour

1-2PM: Shared Meal

2PM: Depart for Home OR you may stay for free Tobogganing

This event is open to all Children, Youth, Adults, and Elders who identify as Métis, or are connected to the Indigenous community.

Saturday, January 25th
10AM-2PM

The camp will take place on the traditional territory of the Coast Salish people and will be held at the following venue:

“The Yurt Building”
Mount Seymour
North Vancouver, BC V7G 1L3

All equipment will be provided. Please wear warm and comfortable clothing and prepare for snow!
