Vancouver Coastal – Basketball Referee Clinic

  • The Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity & Recreation Council – Vancouver Coastal Region – is pleased to present a basketball referee clinic for new referees that work with for Indigenous youth basketball teams (First Nations, Inuit, Métis) this clinic is hosted in partnership with the British Columbia Basketball Officials Association on behalf of I·SPARC and will be facilitated by John McFarland, National Education Officer.

    The Chief Joe Mathias Centre’s Referee Clinic is open to all Indigenous Communities in the Vancouver Coastal region, Métis and Urban Communities are also welcome to register!

    Registration is mandatory.

    This course will be covering violations, fouls and the rules of Basketball.

    Participants are encouraged to join the British Columbia Basketball Referees Association at the website www.bcboa.ca.

    ELIGIBILITY:
    Registration is open to coaches, community leaders who work directly with Aboriginal athletes, aged 16+ Max 20
