Wrestling with Quamichan Middle School (SD79)

The Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity & Recreation Council is pleased to present an wrestling sport development camp for Indigenous youth (First Nations, Inuit, Métis) hosted in partnership with Quamichan Middle School & SD#79 Aboriginal Education

This single session wrestling sport development camp will introduce youth to a variety of wrestling technique taught through games, drills, and light sparring. The goal of the camp will be to develop some basic skills and give an introduction to the sport of wrestling.

The camp will be delivered by Dustin Silvey who completed his PhD working with youth and the sport of wrestling. Dustin was the coach of Team NL wrestling at the North American Indigenous Games in Toronto in 2017 and continues to coach in a British Columbia.

All wrestling equipment will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothing and gym shoes.
