The camp will be delivered by Yukon Aboriginal Sport Circle.

WHAT IS ARCTIC SPORTS?
Arctic Sports are a collection of games, disciplines, and social events that are an important part of the way of life in the circumpolar north and have been since the earliest days. The games are rich in social and cultural elements designed to build power, strength, agility, endurance, and resilience – all skills essential for survival in northern elements. Beyond physical ability, the games foster friendship, patience, perseverance, respect, and leadership.

DID YOU KNOW?
Arctic Sports have been officially added as a Trial Sport for the 2028 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG), marking a historic inclusion for traditional Indigenous games. With disciplines such as the One and Two-Foot-High Kick, One Hand Reach, Kneel Jump and Triple Jump, adding Arctic Sports to the list of competitions will help develop and promote this rich and vibrant group of traditional Indigenous strength and skill-based games on the NAIG stage.

TEAM BC AT NAIG
As the organization that oversees Team BC’s participation at the North American Indigenous Games (NAIG), I∙SPARC intends to enter an Arctic Sports team in the 2028 NAIG. This clinic represents an important step in building a strong foundation of trained and culturally grounded coaches in British Columbia who can support athlete development and Team BC participation in 2028 and beyond.TO LEARN MORE ABOUT ARCTIC
