The Indigenous RunWalkWheel Program (IRWW) is designed to help participants gradually build fitness levels and increase their stamina in preparation for a 5 or 10K event. The IRWW program has successfully been delivered since 2007 with 1750 leaders trained, reaching over 27,650 participants across the province!

All participants receive:

  • RunWalkWheel training program brochure and training logbook
  • Access to HealthBeat, a pre/post health screening program, which is offered on-location each year in select communities
  • Weekly training tips emailed directly to your inbox
  • Access to online educational sessions
  • Grants and financial Support

Trained IRWW leaders who complete the two-day Healthy Living Leader Training are eligible to apply for a grant to assist in developing and hosting their community RunWalkWheel program, which can include the cost of organizing a community 5 or 10K event.

If you’re interested in leading an Indigenous RunWalkWheel program in your community, come join the Healthy Living Team at leader training!
