Facilitator Bio:

g̲ilakas’la  Nugaum Manda, I am the Garden/ Food Connections Coordinator for the Kwakiutl First Nation.

I was raised on North Vancouver Island, and grew up learning about the connections to land and growing foods in our garden.

As a mother of 3 beautiful children, having access to fresh  food year round if important to me. Learning to gather from the land and eat with the seasons is a goal and hobby all in one.
