Facilitator Bio:
I am 70 years young, and am a life long promoter of food security. I live in the country near Fort Fraser with my husband, dogs, cats and horses. I have three children, 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. For twelve years, in partnership with my dear friend, I ran a CSA program serving 150 families. I’ve been a waitress, a gas jockey, a sawmill worker, a red cross employee, a bank employee, a horse logger, a tree planter, a haul truck driver, a field tech for FNFS and have always come back to food production. I’ve worked with Stellat’en First Nation for the last 13 years as the food sovereignty coordinator and am very proud of where we are in the journey. My hobbies are willow basket making, twig furniture production, horses, skiing, wild foraging, and gardening.
