We are proud to announce that Michelle Webster has been appointed as the new Executive Director of PacificSport Okanagan.

Michelle has been a key leader at I∙SPARC serving as the Manager of Sport Development & Community Engagement, dedicating her career to advancing sport opportunities and fostering community engagement. A proud member of the Namgis First Nation and raised in the Okanagan, Michelle’s passion for sport is deeply rooted in her experiences as an athlete, coach, and sport administrator.

As a graduate of Kansas Wesleyan University with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation, Michelle has consistently demonstrated excellence in sport leadership. Michelle’s extensive contributions extend beyond I∙SPARC, with leadership roles including Board Member with the BC Games Society, and as a Board Member with PacificSport Okanagan. She also recently served as Chef de Mission for Team BC for the 2023 North American Indigenous Games.

Michelle’s commitment to inspiring and engaging athletes, coaches, and sport leaders to pursue their goals aligns perfectly with PacificSport Okanagan’s mission.  We are delighted for Michelle’s continued journey as a leader in sport in BC.

We would like to also take this moment to express heartfelt gratitude to Shaunna Taylor for her exceptional leadership as PacificSport Okanagan’s Executive Director and for her role in helping to build strong relationships between I·SPARC and the BC Regional Sport Alliance and its members. We wish her success in her future endeavors.

While Michelle embarks on this exciting new chapter, I∙SPARC is launching the search for a new Manager of Sport Development & Community Engagement to continue advancing a shared vision of excellence in sport development.

Please join us in celebrating Michelle’s remarkable achievements and congratulating her on this well-deserved role.
