The planning for I∙SPARC’s Regional Training sessions has begun!

I·SPARC is excited to announce the 2025 Regional Healthy Living Leader Training sessions will be open for registration Friday, August 15th 2025! These sessions are complimentary for those working within Indigenous communities who want to deliver an Honour Your Health Challenge or Indigenous RunWalkWheel program.

Eligibility
Healthy Living Leader Training is open to individuals who are interested in promoting health and wellness within their community, schools, Friendship Centres, Métis Chartered Communities, recreation centres, health centres, workplaces, or Indigenous organizations.

After completing training, all participants are eligible to apply for up to $1000 in grant support of their Indigenous RunWalkWheel or Honour Your Health Challenge program.

Workshop Facilitators 

I·SPARC is excited to welcome back Maddy McCallum as our MC and Gerry Oleman as our Honoured Elder. Both will be facilitating workshops and sharing their beautiful medicine at all Regional Training Sessions.

Additionally, the “Food is Medicine” series will return in workshop format with some exciting developments:

  • Rachel Dickens Greening & Fiona Devereaux as speakers
  • Community representatives will get to present their projects as part of the workshop
  • Cook with local ingredients or source local recipes to share
  • 1-2 workshops will be filmed with community footage included to be part of the next Food is Medicine YouTube series
