Can’t make the upcoming 2016 Gathering Our Voices Conference? viaSport will be live-streaming the Opening Ceremonies AND the inaugural Premier’s Awards for Aboriginal Youth Excellence in Sport!
Gathering Our Voices will unite 2000 youth delegates as well as chaperones, presenters, and guests in Victoria, BC. Hosted by the BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres, this conference celebrates youth through learning, healing, and sharing, providing tangible experiences, tools, resources, and knowledge that youth can bring back to their communities.
The Premier’s Awards for Aboriginal Youth Excellence in Sport was developed by the Province of BC in partnership with the Aboriginal Sport, Recreation, and Physical Activity Partners Council.
More than 75 youth were nominated, and 12 (six young women and six young men) will be presented the Award during the Opening Ceremony of the 2016 Gathering Our Voices Conference in Victoria, BC.
