The Aboriginal Sport, Recreation & Physical Activity Partners Council (Partners Council) is pleased to present the 2017 BC Aboriginal Provincial Rifle Shooting Camp. This event will be hosted in partnership with Sumas First Nation and BC Target Sports Association (BCTSA). Thank you to the Province of BC for supporting this program.

This Development Camp is an opportunity for Aboriginal (First Nations, Métis, Inuit) youth ages 10 and up to learn and experience the sport of rifle shooting in a safe and controlled environment working with BCTSA’s top instructors. This camp provides an opportunity to safely gain experience and exposure to this shooting sport and develop new skills.

Championship Event Details:
Date: February 25-26, 2017 Abbotsford, BC
Location: Abbotsford Fish & Game Club
Registration fee: $30 per participant

Athletes must register and submit the camp registration fee prior to deadline of 4:00 PM, February 22, 2017 to secure a spot. Spots are limited so register early to avoid disappointment.

Opportunity: Team BC for North American Indigenous Games
The Partners Council is seeking rifle shooting athletes to compete at the 2017 North American Indigenous Games, to be held in Toronto, July 16 – 23, 2017.  This camp provides a development opportunity for interested athletes.  Athletes identified at this Camp as Team BC prospects will be invited to submit an Athlete Expression of Interest Form and be invited to participate in a ‘postal match.’ The postal match will be the final phase of Team BC selection process for the 2017 NAIG. Please not that you are not required to attend the camp in ordered to be considered to represent Team BC at the 2017 NAIG. While this camp is NOT a Team BC selection camp, this camp provides a valuable opportunity for male and female shooters interested in NAIG to develop their rifle skills in preparation for the selection processes.  For more information about Team BC, email dgarner@bcaafc.com.
