I∙SPARC’s Healthy Living Team have been busy during the fall months delivering Regional Leader Training across the province. At time of writing, three locations have been successfully delivered across the Northwest (Smithers), Interior (Kamloops), and Northeast (Prince George) Regions.

Over 100 attendees have experienced a mix of holistic teachings, program development, cultural activities, movement and a great deal of joy! I∙SPARC would like to thank all of the leaders, facilitators, hotel staff and team for creating these incredible events over September and October. Highlights from the first three stops can be found below and on I∙SPARC’s YouTube Page.

About Regional Leader Training

The workshops offered at the sessions combine leader training for both the Indigenous RunWalkWheel and the Honour Your Health Challenge programs. The sessions are designed to build leadership capacity within Indigenous communities and promote healthy living in key areas such as, but not limited to: physical activity, healthy eating, respecting tobacco, and healthy communities. At the conclusion of the two-day Leader Training Sessions, participants will be eligible to apply for a grant of up to $1,000 to support the delivery of an Indigenous RunWalkWheel program or to create a Healthy Living project as part of the Honour Your Health Challenge.
