Sport Canada is currently accepting proposals for projects under Stream Two of the Sport for Social Development in Indigenous Communities (SSDIC) program and would like to invite you to apply. This intake seeks project proposals with activities that will take place between April 1, 2024 and March 31, 2026.

In 2018, the Government of Canada announced investments to expand the use of sport and physical activity programming as a means to improve outcomes for Indigenous communities. Stream Two of the SSDIC program allocates $3.6 million annually to Indigenous governments, communities, and organizations for projects that provide sport and physical activity opportunities for Indigenous peoples, including Indigenous people with a disability. These projects promote Indigenous community-identified social development goals such as improved health, education, employability, as well as reduced at-risk behaviour.
