The Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation Council (I·SPARC) is pleased to announce the intake of applications for the 2017 FitNation Leader Training Forum. Submit your application today for the opportunity to join our team of 76 FitNation leaders across the province!If you have experience as a coach, personal/fitness trainer, background in delivering sport, physical activity, or recreation programs, you may be interested in this unique opportunity.  Successful applicants will enjoy 3-days of a experiential, interactive learning, facilitated by FitNation Master Facilitators and return FitNation mentors.

FitNation training equips you with the skills to design and deliver your own fitness program, for any age group, and any fitness level. Use FitNation to Frankenstein kick around your classroom, become a master of our chair workouts, or even get your co-workers away from the desk for active breaks! The possibilities are endless with this dynamic set of exercises.

Participation is available through an application process. Those selected to receive the training are required to deliver an 8-week FitNation program within their community.  Those selected to attend will have all travel costs and expenses covered by I·SPARC.

Opportunities associated with becoming a FitNation leader:
  • Expert training from Nike Sparq Trainer and Master FitNation facilitators;
  • $500 in grant support to run a FitNation community program;
  • Opportunities to lead FitNation sessions at conferences, health fairs and other special events; and
  • Continued training and education opportunities (i.e. BCRPA group fitness registration, fitness and health related webinars, mentorship opportunities, FitNation 2.0).
