TEAM BC RIFLE SHOOTING & NAIG 2023
Team BC is pleased to announce the official Rifle Shooting roster for the 2023 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) in Halifax, Nova Scotia:
2023 NAIG RIFLE SHOOTING EVENT INFORMATION:
The NAIG Rifle competition will consist of male and female individuals in the age categories of 16U (2007 & later) and 19U (2004 & later).
PARTICIPANTS:
Athletes:
Each Province, Territory and State may enter two (2) males and two (2) females per age category. Maximum number of shooters per province/territory/state is eight (8).
Coaches:
Each Province, Territory and State may accredit one (1) coach and one (1) manager per team. The staff composition must have a minimum of one (1) same gender staff for each gender that is participating on their team.
NCCP Requirements (All Coaches must have the following coaching certifications or equivalent)
Head Coach
▪ Instruction Stream – Shooting Federation of Canada – Instructor Beginner Level Trained. It is strongly recommended that the Head Coach should be certified at this level.

2023 BC Indigenous Provincial Rifle Shooting Camp
Thank you to all of the athletes who joined us at our 2023 BC Indigenous Provincial Rifle Shooting Camp on March 11-12, 2023 at the Abbotsford Fish and Game Club! Team BC Head Coach, Curt Smecher facilitated a 2-day development camp with match competition conducted on day 2. This was an OPTIONAL development opportunity open to youth interested in Rifle Shooting.
