Physical Literacy for Communities BC Initiative – Application Intake 2020

Supported by the Province of British Columbia, the Sport for Life Society will be delivering the Physical Literacy for Communities – B.C. Initiative (PL4C-BC) to selected communities across the province. The purpose of the Initiative is to improve the development of physical literacy through a multi-sector community approach, leading to increased physical activity which positively impacts the health and well being of British Columbians.

Projects will run from April 2020 to March 2022 and provide up to two years of support to six BC communities selected in the 2020 intake. Applicant communities are asked to review the application package (attached) which contains:

  • Further information on the funding opportunity
  • A community screening form
  • An application form

Deadline for application submission is January 31, 2020.

This is a unique opportunity to receive funding and project leadership to assist in developing a more physically active community using a physical literacy approach. More information about physical literacy and the PL4C-BC application process may be obtained by visiting http://physicalliteracy.ca/

To support those applicant communities interested in submitting an application, Sport for Life is hosting informational webinars on December 9, 2019 (10am -11am PST) and January 8, 2020 (10am -11am PST). Details of the webinars and link to registration are noted below.
