The Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity & Recreation Council (I·SPARC) has compiled these guidelines based on recommendations published by provincial and municipal Health Authorities, as well as provincial sport and recreation organizations.
They are the currently understood best practices at time of publication and were approved by I·SPARC’s Board of Director’s.
The arrival of spring means a new group of sports and leagues are getting underway. The following reminders apply to anyone conducting or participating in sport activities in British Columbia. For guidance on travel restrictions for sports in B.C. (April, 2021) please click here.
By order and direction of the Provincial Health Officer (PHO), all events and social gatherings are suspended to significantly reduce COVID-19 transmission related to social interactions and travel.
The order went into effect Nov. 19, 2020 and remains in place by the Public Health Officer. The Province of B.C. continues to monitor the data on COVID-19 transmission to plan for an easing of restrictions. For more information visit the links below.
